Military Business

Companies that are doing a substantial amount of military business may find Southeastern North Carolina one of the best locations for their business.

Fort Bragg, Pope AFB, Seymour Johnson AFB, Camp Lejeune, Sunny Point Military Terminal and Cherry Point are all located in Eastern North Carolina.

North Carolina economic development military, army, airforce, marines, fort bragg Quality buildings and sites, strategic location for military suppliers, interstate highway system, Wilmington State Port, international airport, affordable labor, competitive incentives, and ideal quality of life make Southeastern North Carolina a very attractive location for military suppliers.

The General Assembly appropriated $2 million to establish at Fayetteville Technical Community College a Military Business Center. Although the Center is located in Fayetteville, it is designed to serve the residents and businesses throughout the state.

The Center would provide assistance to prospective businesses interested in military contracts. Specifically, it will assist businesses in marketing, contracting, registrations and certifications required for obtaining government contracts. It will serve as a mentor to clients interested in developing proposals and bidding for military contracts.

The Center will also have the capability to forecast the needs of military installations in the state.
